CRAZY TIMES ON THE ZUIDEY.
What a whirlwind of good times and craziness the past month as we made our way from Alaska all the way through the Panama Canal to the Caribbean. FINALLY WE GET SOME SUNSHINE! Visiting so many amazing countries, and getting a little taste of each culture. Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Columbia, and Panama. Truly amazing. I can't wait for the opportunity to visit those countries again. While we did our relocation cruise we also had a new addition to our cast. Mr. Matthew Cheney! We were also very lucky to have TJ (choreographer from LA) join him, to make our THIRD turnover as easy as possible. Two weeks later, Matty is in all of the shows and we are ready to experience brand new ports together! First stop, Half Moon Cay-- Holland America's private island in the Bahamas. We then head to Aruba, Curacao, Panama, and Costa Rica. After we hit Costa, we have two sea days as we head back to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We have moved from 7 day cruises to 10 day cruises, which has brought many changes to all of our schedules. Lets just say we have A LOT of time off :). I can't believe Halloween has already passed. Insane how fast time goes! For Halloween we were allowed a crew party in the OB. My roomie Loosh and I dressed as Engineers. We got the white jump suits, the ear plugs, the goggles, a sick stache, and to top it off chest hair. Most of the party we mingled with other actual engineers onboard and I somehow got us into working the next day in the engine room.... at 6 AM.... ? Chief called us and told us to stand by.. definitely thinking we were going to bail. 15 minutes later we show up dressed for work. We get to follow Chris (4th engineer) around down in the engine room-- checking the oil on engines, turning on the boiler, checking the poop tanks, and doing other important engine room stuff. After an hour of pure enjoyment and crazy sweat, we returned to the control room to say our goodbyes. BEST ENGINEERS EVER! Birthday time! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOSHUA, STEVEN AND ME! We had a combined party to celebrate our day of births :) it was themed-- dress as Josh or Amber. Brilliant. We had about an even number or honorary Josh's and Amber's at the party. I am so grateful for this amazing family I have onboard and so happy that I could share my special day with all of them! As a present to myself, I will be skydiving this Aruba! wahooooo!!! We are now on Cruise number four, and the month of mama's is still a go. This cruise we are so excited to have Lucia and Lisa's mums onboard! yayy! Although I love having mama's onboard... it sure does make me miss my mum a whole lot! LOVE YOU MAMA! xoxo.

so many activities.
Well friends.. we are now on our last week in Alaska.. WOOT WOOT! Past couple of weeks were filled with some fun adventures... Adventure Kart riding, dog sledding, hiking, bike riding, birthdays, and more hiking. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL AND RICKAE!! We couldn't have asked for better weather the past few weeks... where was this the rest of the season eh?? ha well it made for some lovely times. Got to remind myself what a brilliant driver I am while cruising through the forest. Ha got to play with some week and a half old pups :) hiked/ biked to the most gorgeous places in Skagway, AK. I also explored my wild side while attempting to climb a waterfall.. which I failed.. but now I have a BAD A battle wound... Jealous?? ha well we are going to end the Alaska season with a bang!! We are able to do all of our shows this week.. first time in three weeks-- thanks to our new Stage Manager ROSS! Hoping for a Pinnacle dinner on monday and Body World next vancouver!! We will be saying goodbye to one of our cast members next week... BOYFRIEND I'M GOING TO MISS YOU! As we start the reposition we have another replacement coming.. hello turnover numbero three! IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!

Party. Party. Party.
Big weekend of goodbyes.. The beautiful sarah went back home to Ireland this past vancouver, along with Tesch the videographer, drummer Greg, and two awesome engineers Chris and Shona. Sad day on the Zuidey I must say. They had a jungle themed going away party on friday night, which was brilliant. The cast went all out as usual.. best looking crew there for sure! haha. Vancouver was beautiful, Ash and I rented bikes from the ship and rode around the city all day. Had breakfast at Joe's Grill then we hit up this brilliant vintage store we found last week. After I purchased the entire store ha we headed to the beach to gaze at beautiful people. Our day ended in Vancouver with lunch at Nuba and a very sore nanny. That night we had a super unusual LUEY with about two people in the audience. Sunday started off with a tango class taught by Ashley and me, and a not so great two hour tech rehearsal for Stage and Screen. We got pyro in our show that night so it was well worth it! Following the show we celebrated Lisa's birthday with a stoplight themed party. Wear red if you are taken, yellow if its complicated, or green if you are single. Loosh designed me a pretty genius outfit I must say. Dressed in Green with a stop sign belt around my waist... Get it??? Today we are docked in Juneau enjoying beautiful weather and free internet. :) wahooo!

Another week on the Zuidey.
Spa day, Duck Tour, Pride, Beach, River Rafting, running into old friends, sunshine in Skagway, in port TANNING, Indian food.... that is the awesome-ness while aboard the Zuidey for the past week. Spa day with the brilliant miss Sarah Foley helping me get a wicked bod! Duck Tour with some fantastic people. We rode in this bus type vehicle that submerged into the water and became a boat! like a duck... DUH! We paraded around Ketchikan with our quackers, listening to lame duck jokes... pretty awesome day I'd say. PRIDE IN VANCOUVER! Walked down Davie St. and saw the most beautiful people ever. Spent the rest of the day on the beach scoping out some hotties :) Beautiful day in Juneau. I got to experience the Mendenhall Glacier while rafting down the river. I must say I am a pro river rafter. Ran into an old friend from Jr. high while on my rafting tour. I honestly didn't think it was possible to run into someone I knew in Alaska, but I was definitely proved wrong. It was the first time having sun in Skagway, happy day for all! 75 degrees and not a cloud in sight. Took advantage of "In Port Tanning" as we like to call it. Oh and can't forget about the amazing Indian Food I can't seem to live without each Skagway... mmmmm.... Well Alaska, we've been having some brilliant weather... puh-leassee don't let me down this week- alright thankkksss :) xo

Week 9. 29 more to go.
Can't believe two months has already gone by... CRAZZYYY.. time goes by so fast its insane! now on week number 9 which means 29 more weeks to go. Doesn't seem like much eh? well...when you consider there are 52 weeks in a year.. that makes it seem like a lot more! We only have about two months left in Alaska.. then off to CARIBBEAN!! Can't wait for sunshine and beach! This week one of our female dancers who extended her contract went home.. just for a week.. so we are in the process of quickly re-blocking our shows for this week. Our show last night was quite ridiculous. ha well the first show.. lots of things just went wrong.. some of those things included me being in a number that I'm not usually in and managing to run into everyone and their dog while performing. and the fact that the ship was rocking uncontrollably didn't help... especially when I can barely keep myself standing on stable service, let alone a rolling ship! other than the shows being disastrous the rest of the night was quite enjoyable. Went out to Northern Lights and had a brilliant night of dancing and fun! The only downfall was that they didn't have anything to make my virgin pina colada. fail. So I had to stick with my usual gingerale. YAY for being sober!

Beautiful day in Alaska.
BEYOND BEAUTIFUL DAY IN KETCHIKAN! 72 degrees today and SUNNY! wow if everyday could be like this... I think I would actually enjoy the Alaskan summer. Things on the Zuidey are great. I have come to the conclusion that my whole contract will be filled with millions of goodbyes.. and I'm not talking about the passengers! ha I feel like everyone I have spent the last month with is gone or about to leave. Being in the cast we have one of the longest contracts on board, so we will see many people come and go and maybe even come back again! Its insane how close you get to people in such a short period of time.. and when they leave.. not knowing if you'll ever see them again because they have to live in Australia or Ireland or Turkey... goodness... guess it gives me a good excuse to vacation eh? The people I have met thus far are truly amazing and I couldn't ask for better people to spend my days with! well just another day in Ketchikan- DreamPark tonight- then Vancouver Saturday for a new cruise to begin :)

4th of July at sea.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! Didn't really feel like the 4th of July... considering I was on a boat lost at sea... ha no fireworks.. nothing much of a party because there are not just Americans on the cruise! ha but we still got to celebrate. We performed Stage and Screen and after we went out to Northern Lights to celebrate. So many people came out it was brilliant! not only was it the 4th, but we also gained an hour of sleep... partly the reason so many people came out ha! Got to dance, drink (just diet coke of course) haha and partttyyy.. we were all dolled up because it was formal night-- I love dressing up! after we continued the party in the OB. fun night with some truly amazing people! Juneau again today... cold.. cloudy.. and rainy... theres an alaskan summer for ya! having some amazing chinese food again at Zen, then back to the ship for a relaxing night off. Our replacement who was suppose to be here on saturday ended up not coming.... but we are getting another one in a week.. hopefully... ha and he should be here until the end of september and then hopefully Phillip is better and can return to his zuidey family! Skagway again tomorrow.

KETCH YOUR KAN.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!! WAHOOOO! I LOVE YOU LOOSH! Spending the day in Ketchikan, Alaska! pretty cloudy day... not to cold though which is nice. Eating at Annabelle's, which is supposedly known to have the best chicken fingers?? we shall see. it also has free internet-- FANTASTIICC!! Tonight we perform Dreampark... aahh the worst part of this show is the costume changes for me.. ha I swear I sweat more off the stage than on! We should have good shows tonight though. we have a few teenage groupies that love to sit in the very front of every show and steal flowers from around the ship to give to us! hahahah oh they are cuutee! GOOD NEWS! haven't been sea sick at all this cruise! yayy!! ha but... I did take a pill one of the nights.. but still I think I'm finding my sea legs! okay so two nights ago after we performed In Concert... we decided to have a girls night and watch a girlie movie... well Loosh decided to boycott this idea because she hates chicks flicks so she went to the OB for a drink. when I got back to the room she was passed out on the bed with full stage makeup on and same clothes she went out in. I get into bed and closed my eyes for about 2 seconds when I hear BAMMM BING JKAIEILMCIIESF.... followed by a groan.. I turn on the lights and Loosh is on the ground.. yes she fell out of bed! and took the bed rail down as well! My first reaction of course was to laugh haha but then I asked her if she was okay? she immediately got up and ran out of the room. I was so confused... I got up and cracked the door open because I knew she didn't have her key, and I waited on my bed for her to come back.. good thing she came back or I would have had to go out and look for her in my underwear! when she got back I kept asking her where she went and she wouldn't respond to me... She went pee then jumped back in bed and went to sleep! hahahahh in the morning she didn't remember what happened.. she didn't believe me until she saw her blankets and the broken bed rail on the floor. ha that is one of the many brilliant nights of my life. again I love you LOOSH, she's a canadian. :)

I'M ON A BOAT
Lots of changes have happened in the past two months... went from being jobless with no money and no plans... to getting a job, getting my butt whipped for a month and now living on a ship for 8 months! haha this life is crazy out here and I'm loving every second of it! now on my fourth cruise of my contract.... feels like I've already been out here a year though! weeiiirrdd! all of shows have been going great.. well... except when the sea decides not to cooperate! had a few realllllyyy rocky nights. last week Lisa and I were the sicky's... laying on the floor in between shows.. they almost cancelled our second because it was so bad.. but we made it through! My cast is amazing! such a brilliant group of people to be working with, I'm so blessed! sad day though- one of our male dancers injured his knee so we will be saying goodbye to him for six weeks hoping his knee heals and he can return to us! LOVE YOU PHILLIP!! as of right now we are ported in Skagway, Alaska. Reallllllllly small town but beautifuullll!! can't wait to start hiking! one thing that sucks though is there is no internet in skagway... ridiculous eh? I was upset when I found that out today... also... Loosh and I ordered green tea lattes from the starbucks... ewww we paid $6 each! insaannee right? haha I was shocked! anyways.. I'm so excited for this contract! I love experiencing new things, and I feel like I experience new things everyday out here! loooveee iittt!
